Tristan da Cunha

Video footage collected using drifting baited cameras (pelagic BRUVS) during the National Geographic Society’s Pristine Seas expedition to Tristan da Cunha, South Atlantic Ocean, in January – February 2017.

Tristan da Cunha is the most remote inhabited island in the world. The nearest continental land is South Africa over 2,700km east. Tristan da Cunha consist of a group of volcanic islands and its archipelago are a host of endemic and largely unexplored marine biodiversity.
